Description

Product Description

  • Converts between M16 studs and M6 threads;
  • Commonly used for connecting rod brackets of OOP series rails and horizontal tilt stages;
  • Features 4 holes with Ø3.1mm diameter, providing additional force when tightening with a wrench;
  • Solid stainless steel design;

The PBM16 series adapter screws are used to assemble and convert two components with different thread standards (M16 and M6). Both OOP series rails and BK60A series horizontal tilt stages can be paired with these adapter screws to achieve conversion to standard M6 threads.

(1) The PBM16 series adapter screws are used to assemble and convert two components with different thread standards (M16 and M6). One end of the adapter screw features an M16 external thread, and there is a through hole in the center that fits M6 screws. The PBM16-T has an M6 threaded hole in the center, allowing connection of components using M6 set screws. In contrast, the PBM16-S is equipped with a Ø5.8mm countersunk hole in the center, enabling component connection with M6 pan head screws. Additionally, there are 4 holes of Ø3.1mm on the side, which provide additional force during tightening.

(2) Both the OOP series rails and BK60A series horizontal tilt stages can be paired with these adapter screws to achieve conversion to standard M6 threads.

(3) When connecting multiple components on a single optical axis of a rail, the PBM16-T’s central threaded connection for components will result in inconsistent contact directions of the set screws on the side of the connecting rod bracket itself, leading to deviations in the optical axis path. However, the PBM16-S can avoid such issues: the countersunk hole design allows users to determine the fixing direction of the connecting rod and simply tighten the screws by connecting from the bottom upwards.
