The two blades of the OSS-30C width-adjustable slit move uniformly inwards or outwards along the SM05 threaded through-hole, ensuring the slit opening remains symmetrically centered on the SM05 threaded hole at all times.

Technical Description

(1) The two blades of the OSS-30C width-adjustable slit move uniformly inwards or outwards along the SM05 threaded through-hole, maintaining the symmetrical centering of the slit opening with the SM05 threaded hole center. The slit housing is designed with four 4-40 threaded holes for easy mounting to 30 mm cage systems. During installation, the slit can be easily positioned vertically or horizontally to meet different experimental requirements.

(2) The slit width ranges from fully closed to 6 mm and is adjusted by a micrometer drive, with a 1:1 correlation between the micrometer reading and the actual slit width, and 0.5 mm of adjustment per revolution. When fully closed, the two blades should make contact; however, due to blade imperfections and limitations in blade parallelism, a maximum gap of 0.25 μm may exist (this minor deviation does not affect precision requirements in most applications).

(3) The base of the slit is designed with an M4 mounting hole, which makes it compatible with optical posts and facilitates fixation to a variety of optical setups.
