Product Description

  • Optical rails for coaxial optical systems, ideal for small-scale optical experiments
  • Components can be fixed at any position along the rail mounting surface; various optomechanical parts can be freely interchanged
  • Laser-engraved scales for optical component alignment
  • Mounting surface with multiple threaded holes and slots for flexible installation
  • Multiple specifications available

Designed specifically for constructing 1-axis assemblies, optical rails can combine with other mounts via sliders to form coaxial optical systems, especially suitable for small optical experiments. Objects can be fixed at any position along the rail and adapted to different optomechanical components. Made of high-quality aluminum profiles, they are nondeformable, lightweight, and easy to handle, making them an ideal choice for physics optics laboratories in universities.

Technical Notes

The OOM-G series optical rails can combine with other mounts (such as support posts or translation stages) via sliders to form coaxial optical systems, ideal for smallscale optical experiments. The dovetail base on the rail mates precisely and securely with the dovetail slot on the slider. Made of highquality aluminum profiles, the rails are nondeformable, lightweight, and portable, making them a preferred choice for university physics optics labs.

The dovetail rail features multiple M6 countersunk holes and slots for flexible installation. The rail scale is graduated at 1.0 mm intervals, with numerical markings every 10 mm. The distance between mounts installed on the rail can be clearly read from the scale, enabling quantitative adjustment.

Sliders adopt a dovetail structure for use with the rail. Once attached, sliders allow optomechanical parts to be positioned anywhere along the rail, with easy adjustment and good repeatability. Sliders can be clipped onto any point along the rail without installation from the end. A springloaded piston inside the locking knob ensures smooth, wobblefree translation. After positioning, tighten the thumbscrew to lock the slider in place.

OOPM series sliders have a scale index line hole at the rear for clear reading from the rail below. Standard OOP series sliders lack this hole and only allow approximate visual estimation of the rail scale. The top surface provides various threaded holes for wide compatibility. Sliders of different widths satisfy various spacing requirements.
