Technical Description

(1) The CSD-MX snap-in cage plate facilitates the quick insertion of Ø1-inch optical elements into an existing 30mm cage system and allows for manual 360° rotation of optical elements in the 30mm cage system.

(2) When inserting it into a 30mm cage system, first align the main base of the optical element perpendicular to the optical axis, then snap it onto the cage rods, and finally tighten the set screw in the flexible clamp with a 1.3mm hex wrench. This operation will not affect other system components and their alignment.

(3) The optical element can be rotated via a knurled knob or a 5mm internal hex key, and the rotation axis position of the optical element mount can be locked with a 1.3mm hex key. The flexible clamp block base is marked with a graduation line every 5°, and the angle of the optical element can be read when the graduation aligns with the triangle on the knob. Note: When used with a beam splitter at a 45° incident angle, the clear aperture will be an ellipse with a minor axis of approximately 8mm.

(4) Equipped with an SM1 (1.035”-40) female thread mounting hole and 2 CSK3 retaining rings. The mounting hole is suitable for mounting Ø1-inch optical elements with a maximum thickness of 7mm. (It is not recommended to assemble other sleeve components to the mount for use; due to the design of its rotating flexible clamp, the two components will jam and fail to rotate, making seamless connection impossible.)
