Product Description

  • Pitch, tilt and rotation controlled by micrometer heads;
  • Adjustment range: ±4.1° for pitch and tilt, ±9.5° for rotation;
  • Platform height: 37.5mm;
  • Thumb knobs for limiting and temporary locking of the θXYZ axes;
  • M4 threaded hole array on the platform with a spacing of 12.5mm.

The TAP-TR tilt and rotation stage enables ±4.1° pitch and tilt adjustment and ±9.5° rotation adjustment. It is equipped with SM13 micrometer heads to control pitch, tilt and rotation with a graduation of 10µm. One full rotation of the micrometer head achieves 1.85° of pitch and tilt adjustment (resolution: 0.037°) and 1.7° of rotation adjustment per turn (resolution: 0.034°).

Technical Description

(1) The TAP-TR tilt and rotation stage allows for ±4.1° pitch and tilt adjustment and ±9.5° rotation adjustment, facilitating the alignment of optical devices and corresponding fixtures with a plane and enabling rotation within the plane. It is fitted with SM13 micrometer heads for controlling pitch, tilt and rotation, with a graduation of 10µm. One full rotation of the micrometer head provides 1.85° of pitch and tilt adjustment (resolution: 0.037°) and 1.7° of rotation adjustment per turn (resolution: 0.034°).

(2) As shown in the figure, adjusting the knobs next to the micrometer heads can pre-eliminate backlash in addition to enabling temporary locking. One knob can adjust/lock the pitch (θX) and tilt (θY) axes simultaneously, while the other knob adjusts/locks the rotation (θZ) axis. Note that tightening the knobs will also lock the movement of the corresponding axes, resulting in a certain resistance when adjusting other axes. Do not over-tighten with force to prevent damage!

(3) The upper surface of the stage is also provided with 21 M4 threaded holes with a spacing of 12.5mm, facilitating the installation of accessories or fixation of other components by users. In addition, the stage can be fixed to an optical breadboard through 3 Ø6.7 through holes.

(4) In this refraction application, the TAP-TR stage is raised to the same height as the Nano series 3-axis translation stage, allowing the PRK1-A pressure arm to mount a prism on the tilt and rotation stage. On the Nano translation stage, a fiber optic holder is used to direct a collimated laser beam onto the prism, and the refraction direction of the laser beam can be adjusted via the micrometer heads of the TAP-TR stage.
