Technical Notes
The OsCam Vision® series scientific cameras offer color, monochrome, and NIR-enhanced sensors with resolutions from 1.3 MP to 12 MP. They support external trigger and continuous exposure modes with global or high-speed rolling shutters, delivering sharp, detailed images with high color fidelity. A fanless cooling system uses passive heat dissipation via fins to avoid vibration-induced blur, control temperature rise, and suppress dark current and image noise.

OsCam Vision® software supports Windows 7 through Windows 11, providing advanced scientific features including image capture & annotation, pixel analysis, calibration, and measurement. Click to download Oscam (V1.0.4 Beta) Setup installer and OsCam Scientific Camera Software User Manual.

The camera uses an SM1 threaded interface (1.035″-40) compatible with Oeabt optomechanical components and can connect to lenses via a C-mount adapter. The front has four 4-40 holes for 30 mm and 60 mm cage systems. Each side of the housing has two 1/4″-20 and two M4 holes for stainless steel posts. These versatile mounting options make it ideal for custom imaging setups and integration with commercial microscopes.

A high-speed USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface provides stable 3.2 Gbps throughput, multiple times faster than Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps). A 3meter dedicated fixed USB 3.0 cable is included.
