This Z-axis mount is designed for 30 mm cage systems requiring movement along the system’s optical axis. It can be mounted on two cage rods via two grooves on the mount, allowing components fixed to the movable part of the translation stage to translate along the optical axis. The cage rods are then secured by tightening the side clamping screws with a 2.0 mm hex wrench or ball-head screwdriver.

Technical Description

(1) This Z-axis mount is intended for 30 mm cage systems that need linear movement along the optical axis. It mounts to two cage rods through two grooves on the mount body, enabling the translation of components attached to the movable section of the stage along the optical axis. Tighten the side clamping screws with a 2.0 mm hex wrench or ball-head screwdriver to lock the cage rods in place.

(2) The translation stage is driven by an SM13 micrometer, delivering 12 mm of linear travel with a 10 μm graduation. Precision linear ball bearings ensure smooth, high-resolution motion.

(3) The translation stage is preconfigured with mounting hole adapters of different diameters, suitable for cylindrical components with Ø8–12 mm apertures. Two adjustment screws on the front plate of the adapter provide ±6° of pitch and yaw adjustment (±5° for OAD-12F). The pitch and yaw adjustment axes are laser-marked for easy identification and are adjusted with a 2.0 mm hex wrench.

(4) After removing the adapter, the optical component mount features SM1 (1.035″-40) internal threads, compatible with Ø1-inch optical components or SM1 sleeve assemblies. One CSK3 retaining ring is included to secure the mounted optical components.
