The OOML series optical rails are designed for compact setups. Their dovetail mounting surface accepts our OOPU series snapin rail sliders, allowing objects to be fixed at any position along the dovetail. The slider top surface features threaded holes for mounting lightweight optomechanical components. Once attached, the slider enables positioning of optomechanical elements anywhere along the rail length.

Technical Notes
The OOML series optical rails are intended for compact assemblies. The dovetail mounting surface accommodates our OOPU series snapin rail sliders, allowing fixtures to be secured at any position along the dovetail. These rails are only 18.1 mm wide, with lengths ranging from 63.5 mm to 600 mm. Multiple M6 countersunk holes provide mounting flexibility. An M4 threaded hole at each end enables vertical mounting. Rails 300 mm and longer include mounting slots for additional installation options.

The OOPU series optical rail sliders are designed to mount components onto our OOML series dovetail optical rails. Once attached, these sliders permit positioning of optomechanical elements at any point along the rail. The slider surface is equipped with M4 and M6 threaded holes for mounting lightweight optomechanical parts.

The slider design preserves good lateral alignment during translation along the rail and can be snapped into any existing rail system easily without installation from the rail end. One M6 countersunk screw is included for concealed component mounting from the bottom of the slider. After moving to the desired position, tighten the set screw on the slider end face with a hex key to lock the position.

Optical rails and rail sliders can be combined to build a simple XYaxis linear translation stage.
