Technical Description
(1) Product Overview
The M2-W Series 30 mm Cage Cube is ideal for building systems with prisms, beam splitters and other optical components that achieve 90° optical path deflection. It is compatible with a wide range of accessories for 30 mm cage cubes on this link, including optical component mounts, various mounting stages and cover plates.

(2) Cube Structural Features
The top and bottom surfaces of M2-W Series cubes feature a central Ø44.5 mm through hole with four surrounding M3 threaded holes for mounting cube cover plates or cube stages. The central hole on each of the four side faces is machined with SM1 (1.035″-40) threads.
The M2-4W cube is equipped with 4-40 threaded holes on all four side faces, positioned around the SM1 threaded holes, for direct cage rod mounting. Since all side faces of this cage cube are fitted with threaded holes, it cannot be translated along cage rods. The M2-6W cube has two opposite side faces with 4-40 threaded holes and another two opposite side faces with Ø6 mm through holes, all available for direct cage rod mounting.

The Ø6 mm through holes on the M2-6W cube allow free passage and movement of cage rods, enabling the cube to slide along the rods and be locked in the desired position with side set screws.Note: A CPS1 spacer is required if mounting a stage inside the M2-6W cube for translational use; otherwise, the cube cannot move along the cage rods.

(3) LFM1 Series Optical Component Mounts
The LFM1-A rectangular filter mount is specially designed for filters, accommodating filters with a width of 28–40 mm and a thickness of ≤3 mm. The LFM1-B mount is engineered for mounting Ø1-inch optical components with a maximum thickness of 6.2 mm. Both mounts must be mounted on an LB30 Series stage for use inside the cage cube and are secured to the cube stage with the included screws.
(4) LRM45 Mount
The LRM45 mount is used to install Ø1-inch optical components at a 45° angle to the cube’s optical axis and features a Ø16.6 mm beam splitting clear aperture, making it ideal for mounting half-reflection half-transmission beam splitters, beam sampling mirrors and other similar optical components. The mount is fitted with SM1 (1.035″-40) external threads and includes a lock ring for easy integration into other optical systems. It also offers ±1.5° tilt adjustment for fine-tuning to achieve the desired optical performance.

(5) Cube Mounting Stages
Stages can be mounted on the top or bottom of the 30 mm cage cube to hold various optical components inside the cube, and are locked in place with the included M3 cap head screws.

(6) LB30 Series Stages
LB30-A Cube Rotation StageThis is a free-rotation stage with 360° laser-engraved scale at 2° graduation and an alignment line for precise angular reading.

LB30-B Cube Mounting StageComposed of a base and a detachable top plate (8.8 mm in height), the detachable top plate is used to raise the mounting height for small optical components. The stage surface features a threaded array, and an M4 threaded hole on the base allows mounting to optical posts.

LB30-C Cube Tilt StageEquipped with three adjustment screws, this stage provides ±4° pitch/tilt adjustment and ±2 mm height adjustment. An M4 threaded hole on the base enables mounting to optical posts.

LBR30-A Cube Rotation & Tilt StageThis all-in-one stage supports free rotation, pitch/tilt adjustment and height adjustment. It features 360° rotation (2° graduation) plus precision micrometer-driven rotation of ±7° (5 arcmin vernier graduation). Three adjustment screws on the base allow ±4° pitch/tilt adjustment and ±2 mm height adjustment. Two hex screws are located on the side: the one marked LOCK secures the entire stage position, and the other enables micrometer-controlled fine adjustment while the coarse rotation is locked.

(7) CPS1 Spacer
Cage rods cannot pass completely through stages when the stages are directly mounted to the cube. The CPS1 spacer allows full insertion of the cube stage onto four cage rods for interference-free use. When using this adapter, place the spacer between the bottom of the cube and the stage to be mounted, then secure with the included screws.

(8) CSJ-T Series Cube Cover Plates
Designed for M2-4W and M2-6W cage cubes, these cover plates feature four countersunk holes for alignment with the cage cube and are supplied with four M3 cap head screws for connection to the cube.
- The CSJ-T1Acover plate creates a light-tight environment inside the cube with a rubber O-ring on the top.
- The CSJ-T1threaded cover plate provides an additional SM1 threaded port on the top or bottom of the cage cube.
