Technical Notes
The backlight LED is a high-brightness, stable and uniform light source with a flatter illumination field than traditional point sources. It comes with 2 frosted diffusers, mounted through the central SM1 threaded hole with an integrated diffuse window, effectively eliminating light concentration and further improving uniformity.
This series covers center wavelengths from 454 nm to 640 nm, with a broadband white light option.
The LED housing features 4 through holes compatible with Ø6 mm cage posts, allowing mounting in 30 mm cage systems and DIY microscopy imaging assemblies for flexible configuration. Secure the post position using the set screw on the side of the through hole with a 2.0 mm hex wrench.
The light source housing also has four M6 countersunk slots, allowing the source to be mounted to an optical table with cap screws for greater integration flexibility and convenience.
The LEDOTB controller is a compact intensity controller for LED light sources. It can drive LEDs at up to 1000–2000 mA. Users can adjust brightness steplessly via a single potentiometer knob with integrated on/off. The controller supports constant current (CW) and pulse modes (PULSE, via SMA 5 V TTL input). LEDOTB provides stable, reliable light support for CCD camera exposure assist and digital microscopy imaging systems.
