Technical Description
(1) The FWO-S shielded filter wheel is ideal for experimental setups that demand isolation between the filter wheel and the light source. Its unique exterior light-shielding cover design effectively blocks ambient light interference, making it highly suitable for systems requiring sensitive measurements with detectors such as PMTs.
(2) The filter wheel is equipped with six SM1 threaded positions for filter fixation, enabling easy mounting of Ø1 inch optical lenses with a maximum thickness of 6.4mm. The magnetic outer cover can be opened to rotate and switch filter positions, and clear numbered markings on the edge allow users to quickly identify the position of each filter. In addition, the spring-loaded braking mechanism of the wheel ensures precise centering of the filter within the light-passing aperture range.
(3) Its internal SM1 (1.035″-40) threaded apertures support connection with SM1 lens sleeves to achieve full-system light shielding. Four 4-40 blind threaded holes around the housing enable integration into 30mm cage coaxial systems, meeting the requirements of complex optical experiments. Note: The internal thread depth of the housing cover is 3mm; users should pay attention to the length of components during connection to avoid device damage.
(4) For user convenience, the wheel features a detachable back cover. The three fixing screws can be loosened with a 1.5mm hex wrench for easy filter replacement. The M6 threaded hole and M4 thread adapter provided at the bottom further enhance the mounting flexibility of the device, allowing adaptation to a variety of rod mounting options.
