  • Single wheel, capable of holding 6 Ø1-inch or Ø25mm filters.
  • SM1 internal threaded holes (1.035”-40) for mounting Ø1-inch filters up to 4mm thick.
  • Clear aperture: Ø0.90 inches (23mm), with numbers marked on the side to indicate filter positions.
  • Installation method: Place the filter inside the lens hole and tighten with a 1-inch SM1 retaining ring to secure.

The FW series filter wheels are compact and convenient filter organizing devices, available in single-wheel and dual-wheel configurations. Each filter wheel consists of one or two (depending on the model) filter wheels, a shaft bracket, and a base plate. These mechanically indexed filter wheels are designed to provide precise alignment and high repeatability. Each filter wheel is designed to hold 6 Ø1-inch or Ø25mm filters and can rotate independently. Filters are secured in place using the included retaining rings, allowing the filter wheel to be compatible with other SM-threaded components.

Technical Description

 

To install a filter in the filter wheel hole: first remove the included SM1 threaded retaining ring from the mounting hole, then place the filter in the threaded hole so that it rests against the rear shoulder of the hole, and finally lock the filter in place with the retaining ring.

To install filters thicker than 4mm, such as edge-pass filters or fluorescence filters: first remove the retaining ring and screw a Ø1-inch lens sleeve into the filter wheel mounting hole. Then install the filter into the lens sleeve. For compatibility with filters of all thicknesses, we recommend using a lens sleeve in the mounting hole, which has a thread depth of 0.5 inches (12.7mm). Additionally, Ø1-inch metal, neutral density (ND), colored glass, or dichroic filters with SM1 external threads can be directly screwed into each filter mounting hole after removing the retaining ring.
