Fiber collimators are pre-aligned optical components used to collimate divergent beams transmitted through fibers into parallel beams (or couple parallel beams into fibers).

(1) Collimation Conditions: Specified for single-mode fiber patch cords. Performance degrades with multi-mode fibers. Use only the rated wavelength and matching patch cords; otherwise collimation performance will deteriorate.(2) Note: Multi-mode or large-core fibers cannot be perfectly collimated.

Technical Notes
(1) Pre-aligned fiber collimators convert divergent fiber beams into parallel beams (or couple parallel beams into fibers). Compact Ø12 mm form factor enables easy integration into existing setups. Corrects beam divergence, minimizes optical power loss in fiber connections or beam handling, and improves system optical performance.
(2) For mounting, a collimator adapter is recommended: internal thread M11×0.5 mm compatible with this series, and SM1 (1.035”-40) external thread for direct integration into 30 mm cage systems.
(3) Can also be mounted to optical mounts using POL series fixed mounting holes or OAD series collimation mounting holes.
