The translation adjustment mount offers a ±2mm XY adjustment travel along the optical axis of the 60mm cage system. This translation adjustment is driven by a PSM8 differential adjuster, with a fine adjustment of 100μm per turn (2μm indexing) and a coarse adjustment of 0.35mm per turn. The mount is equipped with alignment grooves in horizontal and vertical directions to assist in aligning the mounting platform, and a locking nut to secure the position after adjustment.

Optical Knowledge Point: Common Optical Thread Size Standards
This is a thread specific to Thorlabs Inc. (USA) and not a commonly used optical thread. “SM” is the code for sewing machine threads in thread notation, but this American company uses it for internal and external thread connections of optical lenses and sleeves. The thread type is UNS (Unified National Special Thread) with a tolerance class of 2A/2B. A unique feature of this thread is that regardless of the diameter, the pitch is 40 threads per inch (TPI). Product Description
The translation adjustment mount offers a ±2mm XY adjustment travel along the optical axis of the 60mm cage system. The mount is equipped with alignment grooves in horizontal and vertical directions to assist in aligning the mounting platform, and a locking nut to secure the position after adjustment.
The movable mount features SM2 (2.035”-40) internal threads. With the included SM2 retaining ring, it can directly mount Ø2-inch optical components with a maximum thickness of 16mm. The back also has SM2 threads for use with SM2 lens sleeves.
The 4 through holes of the mount can be paired with PCM-S series cage rods for integration into 60mm cage systems. A 1.5mm wrench can be used to tighten the side fastening screws to fix the position of the adjustment mount.
