Constructed with SM1 external threads on both ends, the assembly solves light leakage caused by insufficient length between sleeves. It allows one end to be fixed while the other rotates and extends freely. Maximum extension travel is 49 mm; overall length ranges from a minimum of 14 mm to a maximum of 109 mm. It blocks stray light between cage plates or between cage plates and sleeves in 30 mm cage systems. The assembly can extend up to approximately 50 mm for unconstrained shielding and a closed optical path.

Technical Description

The CSAX series shielding sleeves are used to eliminate light leakage when the distance between lens tubes is too short for full shielding. Equipped with SM1 (1.035”40) external threads on both ends, they connect components with SM1 internal threads. They block stray light between cage plates or between cage plates and sleeves in 30 mm cage systems.

The assembly is detachable. In practice, mount one end to the system first; the other end can extend within its range for unconstrained shielding and a closed optical path.

Multiple lengths are available, offering different adjustment ranges.
