The Z-axis translation mount enables precise positioning of optical components along the optical axis. These mounts can directly install Ø1-inch (25.4mm) optical components or those in SM1 (1.035”-40) externally threaded lens sleeves. They offer repeatable Z-axis travel within 30mm cage systems, ideal for compensating focus errors in applications such as fiber alignment or spatial filtering, or for scenarios requiring precise adjustment along the optical axis.

Technical Description

The scaled actuator knob is graduated in 5µm increments, with a travel of 0.25mm per full rotation. Includes 1 SM1 retaining ring; Ø6mm through holes are compatible with PCM series cage rods.

 

The CMSA-Z mount can be used in spatial filtering systems. Fibers are installed via SMA fiber adapter discs. In applications, the CMSA-Z can compensate for focus errors through translation or be used for scenarios requiring precise adjustment along the optical axis.

The SM1-threaded hole allows thicker optical components to be mounted on the CMSA-Z translation stage using SM1 lens sleeves.
