Technical Description

(1) The MPBX breadboard is used to construct custom wide-field observation devices and epi-illumination paths on the top of the Oeabt microscopy imaging system, and is fitted with a dual-position slider mount. By mounting dichroic mirrors, beam splitters or reflectors on the slider, users can combine or switch between wide-field observation, epi-illumination or laser scanning paths. The slider can be fixed in either position by tightening the included set screw with a 2.5mm wrench. The diagram shows the set screw installed in the forward position. (The exposed white areas are machining marks; the product is brand new and not a second-hand item. Please purchase with caution if sensitive to this!!)

(2) The built-in slider mount has a clear aperture of Ø41.9 mm. The mounting plate holds optical components (Ø2-inch, thickness ≥4mm) at a 45° angle relative to the optical axis, and provides ±4° pitch and tilt adjustment for them. The rear of the slider mount is equipped with SM2 (2.035″-40) internal threads, which can be used to mount lens tube series.

(3) The top of the breadboard is provided with a female dovetail groove of Ø53.2mm (D2B) and the bottom with a male dovetail block of Ø51mm (D2). A through hole of Ø38.1mm is drilled at the center of the dovetail, serving as the optical axis path of the imaging system. The dovetail block allows the breadboard to be directly connected to a 95mm microscopy main frame or used for module stacking.

(4) The rear port of the housing is machined with SM2 (2.035”-40) internal threaded holes and four 4-40 threaded holes for 60mm cage systems, supporting self-constructed optical paths. The extended breadboard tabletop and sides are both equipped with M6 threaded hole arrays. The beam height is 50mm measured from the panel tabletop. Using a Ø12mm post, 30mm/60mm cage plates can be positioned at this beam height to provide structural support for the device.
