The MDFMT turret features a removable rotating wheel with 3 builtin MDFMMF2 filter cube assemblies. In microscopy systems, filter turrets are widely used to adjust fluorescence imaging of specimens and select appropriate wavelength ranges to enhance or resolve cellular structures or labels.

Technical Notes

The MDFMT turret includes a removable rotating wheel with 3 builtin MDFMMF2 filter cube assemblies. In microscopy systems, filter turrets adjust fluorescence imaging, select wavelength bands, and enhance or distinguish cellular structures or labels. They select or block specific wavelengths to control illumination and optimize viewing conditions in the optical path.

The front panel has a visual filter cube selector dial. Beamsplitters, laser excitation blocks, mirrors, or polarized bandpass filters can be mounted directly in the turret via the 3position wheel. Numbered markings on the knurled dial enable easy identification and fast switching of filter cubes.

The MDFMMF2 fluorescence cube insert is a holder for fluorescence filters in the turret. Each cube holds one filter set: one excitation filter, one emission filter, and one dichroic beamsplitter. Note: Cubes are empty mounts; optical components must be purchased separately.

Caution: Tighten lens retainers lightly only. Overtightening may crack the optics!

Visible machining marks on the cube inserts are normal. The product is brand new, not used. Please do not order if you mind cosmetic tool marks.

The main turret module has a Ø53.2 mm female dovetail on top and a Ø51 mm male dovetail on the bottom. It is compatible with adapters such as MDFMC and MCPD2(B), enabling precise alignment and secure mounting to other microscope modules in upright or inverted configurations.

The turret panel features 440 tapped holes for 30 / 60 mm cage systems. Removing the dovetails exposes 440 holes for custom 30 mm cage optical paths and epiillumination microscopy. Mounting the turret on the optional MTCP2 base plate exposes 440 holes for 60 mm cage systems.

Standard configuration: MDFMT microscopy filter module turret (including 3 MDFMMF2 fluorescence cube inserts and 1 PSMHS36M beamsplitter plate).
