The KCH-A series communication bus and power hub is specially designed for the operation of Oeabt series C-module controllers. It simplifies cable management, power links and communication between multiple USB devices, and facilitates the connection of other USB peripherals such as beam analysis cameras and external mobile hard drives.

Technical Description

(1) The KCH-A series communication bus and power hub is specially designed for the operation of Oeabt series C-module controllers. It simplifies cable management, power links and communication between multiple USB devices, and facilitates the connection of other USB peripherals such as beam analysis cameras and external mobile hard drives.

Remove the interface protective cover on the base plate first during integration. Before placing the C-module controller, pull the latches at both ends downwards. After placement, push the latches upwards to fix the C-module controller in place.

(2) The C-module communication bus and power hub includes a thin base plate type bracket with several inter-board connectors on its upper surface, which can integrate 2/3/4 C-module controllers. It is equipped with a standard USB 3.0 hub circuit, and can power up to 4 C-module controllers (KCH-A4) and provide communication with a single power cord. The hub is designed with two independent voltage outputs of 12V (8A) and 5V (2A), with a maximum draw current of 8A. (Please ensure the total current does not exceed 8A during use.)

(3) When multiple hubs are cascaded, they can greatly reduce the number of USB cables and power cords required. The hub is equipped with 2 additional USB ports for connecting other USB devices. A USB 3.0A to USB 3.0B cable can be used to cascade multiple hubs, while still only one USB cable is connected to the USB output port of the host computer.

(4) In addition, they allow the C-modules to be installed close to all other mechanical components required for building automated opto-mechanical applications, thus greatly reducing the footprint of the instruments on the optical platform. The hub can be mounted horizontally or vertically on the optical platform. Each controller hub is supplied with horizontal mounting brackets for fixing the hub to an optical platform or breadboard.

Vertical mounting is achievable with the APT-90 right-angle adapter and OPS-M406A adapter board.
