Description

Product Description

  • Universal rod supports with rotating fork-shaped pressure plates and magnetic bases for easy alignment.
  • Spring-loaded thumb screws fix the rod before final locking.
  • 360° rotating base for convenient installation.
  • The rod can be lifted and lowered via the support base to minimize beam height.
  • Magnets in the base provide clamping force before fixing to the optical platform.

These rod supports feature a rotating base, allowing installation selection among multiple mounting holes on the breadboard. The magnets at the bottom of the base help provide clamping force for rough optical alignment before final locking, aligning it collinearly with the mounting holes on the optical platform. The 360° rotating base adds rotation and magnetic positioning functions to the rod support, minimizing the time users spend assembling optical systems.

Technical Description

These rod supports feature a rotating base, allowing installation selection among multiple mounting holes on the breadboard. The magnets at the bottom of the base help provide clamping force for rough optical alignment before final locking, aligning it collinearly with the mounting holes on the optical platform. The 360° rotating base adds rotation and magnetic positioning functions to the rod support, minimizing the time users spend assembling optical systems.

The base has a recessed structure perpendicular to its length direction. For height adjustment, the hollow base allows Ø12mm or ∅12.7mm rods to contact the optical platform, maximizing the rod’s height adjustment range. The groove provides high-stability dual-line contact between the rod and the rod support. Other rod supports without a square groove design have lower fixing force, and the rod may slide down over time.

Each rod support is equipped with a spring-loaded thumb screw; tightening this thumb screw fixes the height position of the rod. In addition to thumb screw fixation, it can be further tightened with a 5mm hex wrench. Use normal tightening force—do not over-tighten, as this may damage the knob! The maximum torque shall not exceed 3.2N.m.

Application Example

Oeabt offers a variety of series of column rods and support rods in different lengths, which play an irreplaceable role in free-space optical experiment adjustment and manual optical path calibration, and can install various optomechanical components arbitrarily.
